i priced out some 195-60-15s that are not too pricey. about $55 a tire and i feel like that could be all it takes to get my clearence.

I had an issue with tire rub when I first got my second B-GT, fixed the tire rub, Stance, and overall feel /handling with new shocks all the way around. I do recommend coil overs in the back ( Has to support Body + weight of engine + trans-axel + gastank), but gas shocks should be fine for the front.
As far as Tires, I've got 14s, unsure of size. If you do go with 15s, go low profile.

Hi agraham55, I'm running 205R60-15s on the front and 235R60-15s on the rear. I did have to slightly adjust the steering stop on the driver side to keep that tire from rubbing the floor pan. I also have home made headlight boxes that have enough clearance the way I made them. Gary Hammond,
