![66 VW wiper pivot photo DSC00227_zps30e7ae52.jpg]() ![66 vw wiper spline, pivot]() I am trying to replace just the pivot (aka spline) on my 66 VW chassis on my GT. I have spent hours on the net looking for this one part with no success. Does anyone know if a part like this is available somewhere. I don't want to try crawling under the dash to replace the whole wiper shaft. I am attempting to send a picture of just the pivot. |

Guess what! You will still need to remove to unit to change the part!
And you should go ahead & change both of them.

What I am looking for is the spline that the wiper blade attached to. It has set screws to attach to the shaft and the wiper blade fits over it.

What I am looking for is the spline that the wiper blade attached to. It has set screws to attach to the shaft and the wiper blade fits over it. That has the arm to the motor on it, need to replace the whole assy. Not as in the picture, but as in the picture for a VW Bug. |

Thanks for the info. It gave me a good start. The links you gave me took me right to what I needed. A company named Autoloc carries them. However, while the price was good the shipping costs was much, much higher than to item cost. Went to local machine shop and had then machine a new one.
