Has anyone used a painless wiring harness. I have the #10102 harness. As I feared, the engine wires are too short. Was considering placing it closer to where the battery is. But then the instrument/panel wires would be too short. I would hate to splice into this nice wiring harness with regular automotive wire (the harness is REAL nice). Has anyone ran this harness? or any other aftermarket harness made for a project car?

I have never run the Painless harness in any kit because I think they are overpriced for the application.
Just about any harness is going to require added wires. In my Avenger kit I mounted the fuse block behind the drivers seat. In my Bradley and others I mounted them in the more tradional location.
Gte yourself a soldering gun and some shrink wrap because you will need it. You are going to need it for the grounds as well since the Painless kit doesn't provide that vital system. You will need lots of wire and a system to ensure quality grounds.
When you start your wiring job just make sure you complete 1 circuit at a time (including the grounds). Don't jump around...it makes forgetting something way to easy.

I actually just picked up the shrink wraps today. Going to run the taillight and the engine section in a more direct path, instead of going through the "side". Will work out better any way, in case later I modify that section for doors.
