www.chadsbradley.co.nr So the topic has came up lots of times on how to lift the body of your Bradley. I built mine out of Trex and it was quite a bit of work figuring out the bends and that peskey hump in the front. I was killing time on one of the many parts sites that I look at and found this kit. From the looks of it you unbolt your body lift it up and this just fits in. Wish I would have found this when I first started mine. All good though but thought someone out there might be interested. Or maybe someone has found a ready to install body kit some where else or plans that you would like to share. chircoestore.com/sand-season-sale/vw-baja-bug-beetle-body-lift-kit-all-type-1.html

Chad,
Thanks for sharing that! Now, I can visualize what the different parts will look like. I am planning to lift mine some to add some head room for me. I was leaning towards the Trex, since I have a lot of experience in woodworking. The part that I was dreading was taking the body off the frame. This looks like I might be able to just lift it up enough to slide the pieces into place and bolt it together.
I wonder what the cylindrical pieces are for?

i've got a 3" body lift on mine. got it from socal imports. cost is high, around $300 with shiping, but it gives you more room for bigger wheels and a good amount of leg room. gotta lift your leg higher to get in and out though.more head room for the tall guys.

camlifter,
The kit that Roodog mentioned is about $190 plus $60 extra because it is oversized. With the S&H it will be close to $300, too.

www.chadsbradley.co.nrOr if you get a fue things and look for deals that they have going on you may be able to get free shipping. Just saying.... Have you priced raw materal and gas for the torch and welding rod or wire and your time to figure it all out. You could be way over 300 bucks.
