heres a question I am sure someone here can answer.....
I have a trike body that I am getting ready to work on. it has a couple of places cut out of it and several what I call inpact spidering. the overall finish is not to good either, IT sit out in the weather for some time.
should I sand off the gelcoat repair it and re-gelcoat it? or sand it, repair it, and maybe re-gelcoat it, or just primer and paint? I know I want to repair the holes cut in it but then what I watched a show on tv where they were working on an old corvette and they sanded it down, re coated it with resein (I think) to strenthen it where they said it had dried out. Do I need to to that, and if so would I have to remove the gel coat to do that? I know this is a lot if you can make sense of my rambling

Fix the Fiberglass then primer and paint. Screw the gelcoat.
