Are the batteries that are used in the Bradley GTIIe the same type as those used for storing solar/wind generated power? In my search for free power for my home (still trying to build a dual-head generator) I came across a website promoting converting cars from gas to electric. -Does this look like the systems used in the BGT2e? -What are things to watch out for? -Do the Pros out weigh the Cons? www.gas2electricity.com/?hop=zephyr27

Bob:
I don't know alot about the GTE motors but I do know that the motor, batteries and controllers are much better today than when they made the GTE. There is a guy you may want to talk with who does electric conversions including a lot of VW bugs. He even designed a reverse trike using a Bug front end that is totally solar powered.

Big Bird, Thanks for the heads up! I'll see what I can learn from him next time I get online. Very seldom I have a chance to get on here anymore. -CocaColaDodge -A.K.A. Bob
