Mcmaster.com might have some type of u shaped rubber trim that would work for that. Looks like that is one of the last things you need to worrie about but yep. Do a little home work on this sight and see what people have done. There is no quick fix place to go with these cars you need to be a little inventive and patient for people's responses if you have a question. Good luck

Looks better without it A lot of owners glass it on to the body and are done with it Fill it with gold seal (a type of bondo) & paint it Gives the car a more unified look Good luck with that. There are a few posts showing the process on a GT1

Yeah..thats a tough one. Maybe a cross section look at it. You really can't tell the shape with the pictures you have sent.
As stated...McMaster is a good place as is soffseal.

If you get rid of it DO NOT USE bondo type fillers. I must be aggressively roughened up and filled with either fiberglass matt and resin or a top quality short strand fiberglass filler.

As the body and top are 2 separate pieces they will always want to move in relation to each other. Bondo will crack in no time. You need to bond the pieces together with glass and resin.

No amount of screws will stop it from cracking.

Compare it to a quality piece of furniture. Cheap furniture is screwed or nailed together, quality is screwed an glued. Your choice, you can do it once the right way or do it twice by cutting corners.
