I finally completed my interior overhaul that took lots of time and more money than planned (imagine that). New, professionally installed, wiring was the major task completed that made my ride a whole lot more reliable. Had the engine checkout and overhauled. Fuel sender was replaced and now my fuel gauge actually tells the correct amount of fuel!! (it's the little things that are the biggest!) New dash, that I fiber glassed, and gauge cluster with new white face gauges. New emergency brake handle, new seatbelts and turn signals (front lights and buttons in thingypit). Put in new floorboards, along with new carpet and all new upholstery. The upholstery looks amazing compared to the stock 1970's "baby blue" that was found in the Limited Edition BGT. New interior really "updates" this '79
The weather has been amazing this past weekend so I put on about 150 miles to test drive her on the road. This BGT hasn't seen the road since the early 2000's. I was happy to find she ran smooth with no problems and still getting the looks as if she was never out of the game!
The major stuff is done, but as everybody knows, there is always the minor touches that I am wanting to do. Looking to upgrade my steering wheel and get new tires. But, overall, I'm happy with the completion of this overhaul..
I'm glad I got her done.......... just in time for winter.

Nice work. Is that "one80two" a Skylane or something else?
Warmest regards,

Looks great ! Much nicer than the baby blue interior that was in the Anniversary cars (1979). I'm restoring mine and just can't bring myself to use the original vinyl interior. Yours looks updated without loosing the original vibe.

Impressive. I have Austin Powers green shag carpet in mine I can't wait to gut mine out and start from scratch. It's inspiring to see cars like this.
