As the gt2 tail light is designed for common brake and signal and the Beetle signal light sw is designed for separate brake and signal, you will need a brake/signal convertor box. The type used for trailers will work if your original one is missing or no good. The signal light wires that feed the tail lights go into this box. As for brakes, power from the fuse box goes to the brake light switches then to the convertor box. The box makes it all possible.

Who makes the wiring kit? do they have a support number to call? I'm guessing that your wiring kit was not designed for a fiberglass car, meaning that there are very few grounding wires. Try running some wire you have no use for as a ground wire for both sides and see if that works. Thats the only thing I can contribute, Good Luck!

Do you mean no wires for brake lights or after you wired it you have no brake lights?

A wire should come from the fuse panel and go to the switch on the master cylinder. Then a wire from the switch on the master cylinder to the converter.
There is a wire for brakes on the EZ kit.

This is some of my basic circuits and showing all the fuses. You need to make a list of all your wires and name or function and color of the wires. Also you need to make a list of wires you bundled to there locations. It is best to run ground wires with each bundle. I ran the Dome light pwr, Pwr windows and Door locks up the A Pillar with a ground wires. You need to document as much of the wiring you can because no one else is going to know ware you have run the wires and later on it will help on trouble shooting the system. Wyn
