I scoured the archives and didn't see this on any of the topics.
What size car cover is the best for a GT II? Does anyone have one that they would recommend?
Thanks,
Matt

It depends what you want the cover for - keeping dust off in the garage is a different cover than outdoors under rain, snow, hail and sleet.
I was in touch with Covercraft on that same subject. They said send them the specs (which are in the build manual) and they would make a pattern and sell me one through one of their dealer outlets, I sort of remember the price of around $200 and change for the "Noah" which at the time was their all weather cover.
Since I needed one quickly to cover my Two on the trailer ride to Florida, I wound up going into Autozone and buying the mid size sportscar cover which cost about $65.00. I put that on top of a chamois cloth type indoor cover that I got with the car from the P.O. and used a combo of tie down straps to keep everything in place. I drove through some of the worst rainstorms ever on my way down and the car stayed dry and clean.
I also think a cover made for a 280Z would work just fine.
If you were to buy one (for a 280z) from a vendor that would let you try it with the option to return it or even in the parking lot before you purchase, that would be ideal.
Good luck

Matt,
Good Evening.
The size typically utilized is size 2, fits well and covers the body entirely without being to slack or taut. As for recommendations; just go with a quality cover from a major manufacturer that is suited for the environment you will be storing the car in. If it will be stored outside then UV and heat resistance are critical; you will also want a cover that will not allow moisture, dirt and dust to settle through the cover. I would not recommend most auto part store covers for outdoor use.
Thanks, Michael
