Has anyone found a supplier for the sunroof on a GT II?

Find yourself a nearby boat shop many boats use plexaglass windows. Many of the boat shops make their replacement windows or maybe they can give you a name of someone who makes windows for them. If you have a broken one take the pieces or parts in and see what they can do. If not take the door or car in so they can measure the opening for sizing. The two door panels are different, there is a right and a left panel. Wyn

OR Make yourself a two wooden molds of the window shape get some plexaglass a little larger than the panel. Pre heat your wife's oven to 250, That is if the sheets will fit her oven, Use a test strip in it and count time until the plastic starts to bubble, then substract 4 to 5 minutes and the is your max time. place one panel in heat to somewere short of max time remove and place on form and let cool. You made a window. Play with some scrap plastic to learn how to handle the plastic first. Don't let your wife know you used her oven! You may end up with bumps on your head. And don't tell her I told you to use her oven! It will probably be cheaper and safer if you find someone to make the windows.

Unless your wife is like mine. I had to clean a Beetle gas tank. Decades of sludge and varnish. I wanted to find a way to boil a mixture of water and washing soda inside the tank. Her suggestion, put it in our new BBQ. Worked perfectly. Stainless steel spaghetti pots work great for mixing automotive paint. Chrome tube style automan [footstools] work great for dunebuggy front bumpers. Took her a week to notice it was no longer in the living room. Kids bunk bed safety rail for a roll bar. The license plate is to say thanks for not losing it on me and going postal.

I don't have any pieces of the original windows...but I really don't like the idea of having sun beating through the glass right above the occupants. I'm working on cutting pieces of aluminum sheet that will still be removable but hopefully keep the interior cooler as well.

I would make it out of fiberglass, both cloth and mat. To make it about 3/16" to 1/4" thick it will keep it from deforming from the weather seals and would help it stay sealed. Every time you double the thickness of the fiberglass cloth it becomes 8 times stronger, That is why home built aircraft builders use fiberglass cloth and foam between them. Strong and very light.
