I was told that a windshield from a 1973 VW super bug would fit my Bradley gt 2.Can anyone tell me if this information is correct or will it have to be modified. Thanks

Anything will fit....with extensive mods.
The GT2 windshield was unique to the vehicle. It did not come from any production car. A 1973 Super bug windshield will not even be close.

Yeah I can see I am not alone in my quest. I have considered using Lexan to replace the missing glass but it is not my first choice by far. Thanks for the info.I'll keep looking.

The only legal option is a windshield made of AS1 OR AS10 OR AS14 LAMINATED SAFETY GLASS. It must have the ASx designation and manufacturer etched into it somewhere.

The windshield must be "made" from it meaning that must be the base for the molding process. You can likely buy it but it will be in a flat sheet that will not work. It has to be molded which requires very specific and expensive tooling.

I guess I was thinking about Lexan when I responded. I have been looking at possibly useing it to replace the missing glass with. If the Lexan will work for Nascar then it should work for this project. They also use a protective film that is applied in sheets to protect form scratches, dings and such.

It might "worK"...but the question is will it be legal where you live. I would look into that (its free!) before you spend any time or money.

It's about 1" to tall but could be cut down to if close. You need a NEW W/S to cut, don't try with an old one, they will crack.

And at around $350 (plus shipping) you want to be VERY careful cutting it.

8-)You guys rock!! Where can you get the windshield for $130.00. I read an article where the guy used a sandblaster to cut his window for a chop rod he is working on.There is a little prep but he was succesful with the cut.

You can sand blast a w/s with fine grit, tape up the whole w/s with duct tape so not to damage it. Cut along the tape line to the plastic inside on both sides. Use lighter fluit on the plastic & lite it so it will melt., then pull it off using a knife Carefully sand the cut edge with wet sandpaper.

Skip, so what you are saying is a 280 zx windshield could fit if cut down an inch? Some 280 zx guys are using a Miata windshield in their choptops, have you tried to see how close the Miata windshield is to the gt2's windshield is? Might be worth a look if you haven't already.
