Hello all,
I finally put some new rims and tires on my wife's GT1 and now that they are much wider, I noticed that the body is not straight on the chassis. The front is moved slightly over to the driver's side and the rear is the opposite. I'm assuming it was just done incorrectly originally. Has anyone tried moving the body/chassis one direction or another? Is it a lot of work or even possible? I already have the interior out but it looks like the body was bolted and then siliconed in, so it seems like I'd have to unbolt everything and then cut the seal before I could move it. If there was some way to just shift the suspension over, that would be a lot easier. Thanks in advance for any advise anyone has.

Hi Isaac, Welcome to the world of Bradley. That's a typical problem! The quality control was lacking when the bodies were molded. Nearly every one of them has the inner tub misaligned with the outer body. The problem was in the molds! When you line the body mount (inner tub) up with the chassis, the wheel wells don't line up with the wheels. You can't twist it over much because of the front and rear humps in the floor pan. It will require cutting the inner tub and filling with fiberglass, or else making a body riser that will allow twisting the whole body a little. Gary Hammond, P.S. --- Don't shift the suspension over! That will totally screw up the way it drives!

Could be your car and mine were cast in the same mold. Its not a problem unless I have a passenger and brake hard or accumulate a few g's in a left turn with same passenger. When either happen the right front tire will rub the inside edge of the wheel well. The skew isn't apparent unless you study the car, most people don't. Both of my cars have it. Both had coil over shocks on the right front when I got them. I suppose it was to try to overcome the wheel tuck.
