My son just got me back into shooting bb guns. I remember spending hours as a kid out in the bush shooting targets, cans, and yes the odd squirrel or frog. Well maybe too many frogs. It was a lot of fun. I recently looked into what was available in today's market. Boy how things have changed. Sucks that I live in Canada as there is a lot more choices in the us and the FPS is not limited to 500fps. Still, there is a bigger choice than when I was a child. Back then the only choices were the Daisy single shot break open in 177 and 22 cal, and the Crossman bb/pellet pump repeater.
Due to laws up here we are not allowed to use hand guns for any use other than at the range, they are restricted weapons. Obtaining this license is easy but expensive and has lots of limitations put on use. BB guns are not classified as weapons and as such do not require a license to buy them. They can be used almost anywhere, and can be used for hunting.
After much research I decided to order a Sig Sauer 226 x five co2 bb pistol. Other than not firing conventional bullets it looks and functions the same as the real thing. It will be nice to use for partridge {grouse} when out deer hunting.

I bought a H&K soft air gun for Christmas. It shoots the 6mm bbs. It is co2 and holds 16 rounds. It also has a laser. It is so much fun! My favorite thing to shoot and I can still get ammo for it. Lol
