I'm getting ready to order some parts for my Bradley GT, shocks, exhaust, air cleaner, brakes, etc., but on a limited budget. I was wondering about the quality of EMPI parts from either CIP1 or JCWhitney. Any recommendations for parts would be greatly appreciated.

Older EMPI stuff, i.e., the non-Chinese made stuff of today, was of good quality. Personally, I steer clear of any current items labeled Empi or Latest Rage... Do you have local supply sources for VW parts?
Where are you located?

I'm in southeastern Massachusetts, not too far from Rhode Island. I think there is a place in RI that specializes in air cooled VW. Not sure of anything closer then 40 minutes away.

When I have to order online I usally use Chirco Performance. I personally havn't had a problem with the current EMPI parts I've been getting. www.chircoestore.com/catalog/

It really depends on what you are looking to get. Some EMPI parts are fine. I usually order from CIP1 due to free shipping. BugCity in CT is a place that has a good amount of items and they are online.

Thanks for the replies. The next major job is replacing brake lines, drums, pads, etc on a 69 beetle that's been sitting for the past 13 years.
