Hello Everyone,
If you could paint your GT2 any color from the 1960's to 2012, what would you choose?

I prefer colors that are not factory designed. I make my own.

Bluish red or dark white. Paint your car to please yourself. Any other color and you'll have regrets.

Paint it a color that will help with resale.

Definately not black. Unfortunatly my Bat Car had to be black. I would never use black again. It shows every little defect in the paint and when I wash it if I don't dry it right away the hard water around here leaves white calcite stains. Black is also a dust magnet. Arizona is a dusty state. After a week it has a layer of dust. I did buy a car cover but it has to be washed before I can put it on or the dust will scratch the paint job when I put the cover on. How do you think a brown bat car would look? Easy maintainence though. Bob N.

I use one and they are great. Follow the instructions, use them a lot to get them dirty. Never wash them.

Hi Guys,
Thank you for the input. Resale does not seem to be an issue. I have had the car up for sale for 2 years on local craigslist in Rochester NY and the Samba. $2500 for a drive-able, safe, road legal, registered GT2 and no takers. So, it looks like I'll keep it and finish up the resto.
I recently started working at an auto parts store and am learning to mix paint. Since I can get paint dirt cheap, I have been looking through paint books back to the 60's looking for a "see it coming 5 miles away" color.
Later, Tony O.

Atomic Orange!
And yes Tony...unless you plan to just drive it off a cliff then resale is the most important factor. There is always someone out there for the car. And you will eventually sell it. Everyone does (other than Jeff Troy!).

I have been thinking about orange, lime green, or plum crazy purple.
Hmm? Drive it off a cliff? Might be a youtube hit.

Mediterranean Blue Pearl Take a look at the 2011 Honda Insight Hybrid. You can not take a picture it. The color will not stand out in the picture! Wyn
