How hard is it to put new floor pans in? Where the battery sat the floor finally went through so either I can have someone to do it for me or I can. I have access to everything I need tools, mig welder, etc. I'm just scared to try it lol. I know the master cylinder and some wires will have to carefully come off the body to lift it off. I just wanted to know if its worth it doing it myself or having someone else do it for me.

If you have all that stuff at your disposal, I'd say go for it.
This board has a large group of members to field all your questions and they will only be too happy to gladly chime in when you hit a wall. Many of the people who log in are very experienced and have done what you are attempting many times.
So I say let it rip! Take pictures if you can, so you know what was there to refer to and maybe by the time you're ready to build again you'll have found an even better way of doing it!
I wish you the best of luck and good building, Mike Horen

Its not that big of a deal to do. Disconnect the engine, starter and master cylinder wires. Disconnect and plug the fuel line. Disconnect the heater hoses. Disconnect the steering column from the rack. Unbolt the perimeter bolts around the old pan. Assemble 4 average or 2 fit friends and lift the body. Or use a winch, come along, backhoe, wrecker, levitation machine... With the body off its fairly easy to replace the pans. Make certain you remove all rust before welding. I like to coat everything with Ospho after replacement and before painting.

Thanks for all the info guys! On the steering column how hard is it to disconnect it? I havn't really looked at it even though I was right there putting a new master cylinder in lol. Sounds like I'll be doing it myself though!

Two bolts on the coupler. It can stay right in the shell. Its a great time to inspect the coupler as well. They tend to deteriorate and if they go you lose steering.
