Hi, My Grandfather always said when you are new to a place-Introduce yourself as a sign of respect. He was a wise man. My name is Andy, I have been in the VW scene for over 15 yrs, had a unfinished Bradley GT several yrs ago, gave it to a friend as a gift. Now I just got a GT2--Its in workable shape, got the windshield but a little foggy around the edges. The original seats are not there either. Other then that its complete with some butt sag and clear title as a Bradley. The price was well within my price range though ($200) I been reading, reading and doing more reading and look forward to asking and learning. When I get started I'll make a build thread as well Andy

Welcome Andy. Great to hear you found a GT2. AS you know windshields are scarce, although fogged, treat it carefully. It would be easy to etch a "frame around the glass" or some kind of border to hide the fog it it is not too far in. As for seats, I have a set with some ratty covers. Shipping would be a real expensive ordeal, I recommend visiting your local auto wreckers to find a much nicer and more comfortable set. I used Nissan 280 seats. As you say you have done a lot of reading so I guess you have seen my original build and the Subi conversion. Any questions that you have feel free to ask. There are no stupid questions.....well actually there are but you have to be a special person to ask them. Stupid or not we will answer them all. Please post some pics.

I have a pair of Porsche 914 seats I was going to give a try--The glass is fogged really bad--Fortunatly for me my father built underground fiberglass tanks for over 20 yrs so I picked up a thing or two when it comes to glass work so I am making a mold of the winshield and hitting the yards--I have cut windshields for chopped top cars before as well so I think I should get close with something. How can I tell if mine was a GTE? From what I read it may be one of those bodys but I would love to be sure

A picture would help, but does it have a large opening hood on the front. If so it's a GTA body, used to check the Batt. Bank up front.

If you find a donor windshield that one can be cut from, let us know. Skip tried and the closest was a 280Z. lots of fibreglass work was involved.
