While I don't own this particular Bradley GTI I am it's appointed 'doctor'. For the past year and a half I've been working on rebuilding this car, and I've used this site, as well as others for help. Thanks all! I figured I join and show you guys what I've done to this vehicle. edwardksgarage.blogspot.com/search/label/Bradley%20GTIShe's still a work in progress but I'm sooo happy to get my mother's dream moving again.

I really enjoyed reading your blog on the B-GTs history. I only wish I had documented my first one as well as you did this. I bought it in the summer before my Sr year of high school (class of 04, so it was smmer 03) and just within the last year slowly started reconstruction after a total rebuild. back on Christmas Eve of 11, I bought my 2nd GT and it looks almost like yours, yeah it has its issues too... shes on a 68 chassis, 1500 singleport/ swinger trans.
It sounds like you are well on your way to being a great vw mechanic, and have a very nice car to prove it. Now don't be a stranger, I'm sure others want to see any more progress you make, and othe projects you might take on.

Thank you. These are such cool cars, it has been a joy to work on, truly. It was a pain to find some of those 32.95mm rings for the pistons in this 1500. I used 33mm's (Close enough right?) and they work. From what I've seen I much prefer the single port over double port. While I do enjoy Volkswagen's I hope to expand out into a lot more. I think this'll probably be the only Bradley I ever work on. (They're just too small for me.) But I'll certainly stick around and keep you guys posted. Help out around if I can too.
