guys,
can anyone tell me what can be used as a replacement gas cap on a gt ll original fuel tank and if it needs to be vented.

Not sure what was used but it needs venting unless the tank has it's own vent. I cannot find a listing in the assembly manual. Bring the filler tube/tank to a tank/rad shop, they may be able to help you. Or get a filler tube and cap from any 60/mid 80's car and use that.

To add my 2 cents, every gas station has a lost and found box
full of gas caps that people drove off without.
I'd start checking in with the locals and
keep enlarging the circles until you find one that fits.
For some reason I remember the cap on my brother's Whizzer motorbike
as being very similar in feel to the twoies
