Hate to say it but you got a pile of scrap.
Its an ambitious project to say the least. One that I am sure will drain your finances.

Boy. and I thought I had alot of work to do!!!!! How much did you pay?t The W/S & glass may be worth it. Nope! After looking at the pictures again, I see they are all fogged edges. There is no vin on a kit car unless it was lic'ed. Then it may stamped be on the frame

Payed $150 for it. It's got early 50's jeep axles and t case and a 455 olds to gain some money back.
I want to get into auto body so I just wanted the body, frames junk. Plans are to shorten it and put it on an s10 frame with a sbc

Hard to believe that pos was on the road in Michigan. They should have paid you $150 to get it out of their yard. All the power to you in restoring the body. Even the rear fenders are hacked. At least you are part way to a tilt front end.

Sand down and cut the front and put it back where it"s supposed to be and trim the rear fenders and the body isn't too bad. Just take your time and have fun as you can see no one else was gonna show it any love!! when you start making it look better people will always jump in and tell you how they would do it so don't let it get too you!! what's the worst that can happen? it has already been cut on so just about everything you do will be an improvement so don't give up

hey 4x4, Where about in Michigan are you? I went to school at Ferris for Autobody and got my first Bradley shortly after. I've also dealt with an El-Camino on a Blazer frame (one of my classmates toys) lifted something like 38", you could almost walk under it when he was done.
are you doing an s-10 frame or s-10 blazer?

hows the 455 4x4 coming? haven't heard from you in a while. I recomnd you chck out the frame of that S-10 good before you start, you most likely will have to do cutting and rewelding parts and fabriate your own parts like skip20 is for his subaru powered GT2. Keep us posted, if you need help tell us whats up and we can help you with ideas. Just remember nothing is impossible, if you can dream it, you can do it. It may be more of a nightmare from time to time, but you have to look deeper and see the prize at the finish line. It will take a long time, so don't rush.

" Just remember nothing is impossible, if you can dream it, you can do it."
Unfortunately thats not true. This site is littered with postings from people who dream of something that they can't accomplish.
I would rather say:
"Build it stock...if you can accomplish that then dream away."

Frosted edges or not...you still have way more than $150 worth of glass windows...Side windows are next to impossible to get and non-cracked windshields are totally impossible to find for less than $300....If you get tired of messing with the junk body, just part it out...Sell the glass...sell the gull wing doors..seats..etc...Take the rest to the dump and enjoy the profits... bobevans

hey guys its been a while. the gtII is on the back burner right now. my daily driver took a nuts so i resorted to my only other running and driving car, a 1951 chrysler. drove that for a while everyday and the whole wiring system got fried along with the starter and solenoid, so iv been thingying with that lately.
since the hot rod sbc gtII is outta budget right now iv been thinkin about a vw pan and a corvair motor for a little summer cruiser

perfect timing 455... there is a link on the forum to TheSamba with a Corvair powered GT2 on a VW chassis right here in Michigan. Too bad about the 51, my moms olds 56 super88 is "sitting on the back burner" as one of my future pojects after I get both Bradleys done (well the first time, they will never be done, lol). good luck and keep in touch!

Hey 455, I have some good news for you! I was checking out bradleys on craigslist and found a GTII shell for $300. This may be an easier starting point, or provide you with parts you will need. The ad sounds like everthing is there except the chassis and gauges, it even includes the build manual! I'm tempted to get it myself, but I'm out of space as it is. Here is the owners phone # 1-616-594-4413 And a link to the ad holland.craigslist.org/ctd/3188258610.html
