If it were up to me, I would not get the original GTE electrics. Get the GTE body (which is different inside the engine bay), and late model electrics because they have improved a whole lot from the originals, and ultimately less expensive.
(I have the GTII-E body, but I converted to a highly modified Type 1 gas engine.)

Where are you located? I have a GTE body (no glass, sorry) you can have. I'm in Minnesota.

Just wrapping up the house projects for the fall, should be getting back to working on the car soon.
