I drove my GT for the first time yesterday. Just around the yard mind you but I drove it. I found out that a 225/70/15 tire is a bit too large. Every little bump rubbed. I believe a 205/70/15 will be perfect. Inspection later this week...summer around the corner!

I have P215/55R16s on my Bradley GT II Electric. It rubs when I do a sharp turn. The previous tires - 225 had cut into the fiberglass body so I went with a less wide tire. The 100 miles I've done so far as test drives have been great - lots of looks. Now that I have Kitcarguy's decals on, I imagine I'll get even more.
I too am enjoying the ride with a "big grin."

Adjust the steering limit bolts near your steering box and the rubbing problem can be made to go away. You may have a bit of an increase in your turn radius, but it is worth it to get rid of the tire rub.

I got the new tires yesterday so today was the day of the shakedown cruise. The car handled and drove well. The brakes got worse the longer I drove so I re-bled them tonight. I still had some air in the lines. The engine didn't want to idle after it warmed up and was hard to start if it died. I tweaked the carb a bit and connected the cruise control cable. With the new 215/60/15 tires the car runs 1800 rpm at 55mph. Heads were turned in Beaufort and questions asked wherever I stopped. I need to get the doors and rear window fitted so I won't get wet. I managed to snap the cruise control off the turn signal stalk with my foot getting in the car. Luckily it broke at the mounting point and I was able to repair it. I'll have to remember to fold my feet before entering. The backup camera is invaluable. No neck craning, no twisting this old back. It has a 170 degree field of view and is mounted on the roof. The rearview mirror reminds me of peeking through a mail slot.

I am enjoying my Bradley again as my daily driver, since the weather is nice. Love driving it. Yes, I quickly decided that I would be fixing any levers on the steering column often, so I went for a totally smooth steering column and even put the turn signals on the dash. True, no automatic cut-off, but my fingers are always right there to shift anyway, so it has become an automatic action to turn it off after turns. Sure makes entering and exiting the car a lot less worrysome. Warmest Regards....

I did the same to a friends buggy. Used a metal long handle on/off/on Cole Hersee switch. 55057 DPDT On-Off-On, Long Handle Toggle Switch Mounted in dash just outside steering wheel dia. As his wheel is close to dash , and he has long fingers, activation is easy. Handle is 1.5"
