hello all, always been a fan of the gt kits just plain love the look like come on who doesnt? , alright enough with the pleasantries the pic of there is the car that i wil be buying soon (hopefully) and i jsut want to know if this is a good price for the condition and such, the specs are 1970 vw, 1600cc engine 65,000km rebuilt (yea kms im in canada) , Riken wheels with new rubber, interior is freshly completed with new hurst shifter (300.00$ shifter though) , also the gull doors come with it with hardware. runs excellent shifts very well all in all it feels great to drive. he said he would go 3500$ just want to know if its a good price point because i have seen these for alot less but also for alot more thanks in advance an who knows in a couple days you might see a picture of me in the driver seat also forgot to mention paint is less than a month old Attachments:

Welcome...nice ride. If it is as good as you say it is then yes it is worth it. You could easily double that amount repairing and restoring another one. I tracked a build I did on a simple dune buggy. As I do all of my own work I billed $30 an hour for labor {same as what I charge customers for side work}, far less than the $75/hr charged by any garage around here. The total came to just over $9000 with most of it going into labor and overhead {heat, welding supplies, consumables} Here is that car Your wheels are actually Appliance Wire Mags. Pretty hard to find these days. Below is a typical Riken.

Welcome to the club, and If you haven't allready accepted the title and paid the green, DO IT A.S.A.P.!! Now be sure you read over some of the older posts for heads up as to things to look for/ watch for, and advice. And please feel free to keep everyone updated on your progress and any questions you may have. Thats why we are here, to help eachother. One piece of advice I can give right now, check out some of the backup cameras aliviable, and in the meantime, be careful backing up.
