I just talked to a Rep from the funfest, and he said that the tax and shipping were waved for Illinois customers. He was also going to look into being sure the Bradleys were grouped together, and call back.
Hampton, Fairfield, Days Inn, and Comfort Suites sounded all good to him. Whatever your wifes want, let me know and I will book it too. The Roadway is no longer in existince.

Hi, Looked over the available options and decided to go with Hampton Inn. I just booked a room for Sandy and me for Friday and Saturday night. Senior rate was 75.65/night + tax for a total of $189.30. Here's a description from their web site. "Hotel Features. Hampton Inn Effingham features a restaurant and a bar/lounge. The hotel serves a complimentary hot and cold buffet breakfast. Recreational amenities include an indoor pool and a fitness facility. This hotel has a business center and offers a meeting/conference room and business services. Guest parking is complimentary. Additional property amenities include a concierge desk and laundry facilities. This is a smoke-free property." Gary Hammond,

Hi, Sorry, I guess that link is not directly accessable. : You have to get there by navigating through their site and checking the appropriate boxes. Gary Hammond,

Made the Reservation. Used the AARP but did not do the advance payment. I think it's worth being able to cancel due to sickness, rain out or some other unforeseen circumstance. Total of $177.82 for the two nights.

I'm toying with the idea of the local campground. Haven't made up my mind between a warm bed and cooking over a fire... I need to do a little more digging soon and let you know how I deceide. Both have their pros and cons.

A new issue has arisin for me, now I don't know if I'll be able to attend Funfest this year or not yet. This really stinks, every time I think I can make the trip, something new comes up.
The best part of it this time, is the '76 B-GT has become my daily driver. the crummy parts are that my dependable pickup (an 89 Dodge Ram) that has never given me an issue the whole time I owned it deceided to have the intank fuel pump go out, the same day my engine in my former daily driver (87 Dodge Dakota with 4cylinder, 29mpg) had a valve lifter collapse along with some pre existing problems that got worse.
With my current luck, this trip looks impossible for me this year.
I guess I'll just hit some local carshows this summer later this year.

coca, Hate to see that, was wanting to see you and your ride. But I know things just don't work out sometime. d**n the luck one thing about it ,it has to get better, The bad luck has to have run out by now. Maybe next year. Local shows are fun to, so have a great summer.
Good Luck be with you,
Kensaw

Even though I have a BAD back, I got the Bradley washed, and put on a few coats of Verta glass. That put a little shine back on where it was faded a bit. Didn't have enough stamina or glass to do the whole thing, but did the faded spots. I seem to be able to sit in the car without my back hurting, so will see some of you in a couple of weeks!!!!

I hope you all have a safe trip going to funfest and back, AND that you have a great time there.
I finally got my fuel pump changed in my pickup, so I deceided to get a little something for the Bradley. I got a great deal on an amost new Empi 4 tip GT exhaust/muffler. I soaked the nuts/bolts on the old system with PB Blaster lubercant (usually works better than WD40 for me) and about two hours later the first nut I tried snapped off at the head.
Just goes to prove if its not one thing, its one or two others. This is not the year for me.
Well once again, be safe, have fun, and take lots of pics for us!

Its good to see my Bradley family having fun. the weather up here in S.W. Michican was cold and rainy the past few days. How was it down there? Did anyone make any good finds at the swapmeet area? I read somewhere there were tents where people did dynotesting, airbrushing, motor/trans repair and soupping up. It may have been in a midamericamotorworks email or on thesamba where I read that, sounds and looks like a lot of fun just to watch what all was going on. Everyone enjoy the remainder of your time there, and safe travels back home.

I can tell you one thing my wife and I met some great people and a lot of fun. Wish I didn't have to come back early to go to work. Coca the weather was nice needed a jacket every now and then when the sun went behind the clouds. Mid America did have a place the were doing the work you mentioned. It was great to see the picture I forgot my camera. Hope to get together again with my new friends....

My turn signals started to not work about 2/3 the way down. We couldn't get them to do anyting at the show. About 10 miles from home, they started working again. If I left the signals on, they quit again. I will start with a new flashing unit. Looks like it is tired
