First of I mean no disrespect if this is someones car here on the forum. This a project car to say the least www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1213345Highlights of this ad.... Aquila kit car $6750 #12 of 23 cars made by American fibre craft Etc, Etc. I see ads like this and I get a little pissy. First I have seen numbers of 50 and as high as 150 made. Even have a guy on my site who has one that is number 144 of 150 . Frankly it is the nicest one I have never seen. www.use.com/Aquila_1_of_150_made_179_181_b5884f32b4d32e911839To bad there was not a guide out there for people who want to know the true value of vintage kit cars. I personally do not see $2000 worth of a car their. Maybe it is just me.

Rick owns that car. I think he got that in Texas and had it shipped to him in PA. He also owns at least 1 very nice Sterling.

Could you tell me what makes it worth almost 7k? Maybe I am just ignorant. Also is it 23 cars that were made or 150? Did they do what bradley did and just mixed up the ID plate/numbers so nobody knew how many were produced. His data plate says 0112 and one that I recently seen for sale was 0144
I have seen several project aquila cars come up for sale over the years but most at 2-3k .

In a word...nope. Can't tell you what makes it worth that much.
It is rare though. Much more rare then a Kelmark, or a Bradley, or a Sterling. I have only seen a handful ever for sale. It is on my short list to build.
Would I pay $7k for it? Nope. Then again I am cheap.
Will someone else? Maybe....you never know unless you ask.
