Boy oh Boy,
So I left gave one of my employees my unmounted GT seats because his family does auto upholstery . I gave him the seats a month and a half ago and for the past 3 weeks he has been giving me the run around. He called in for this weekend after I have him and ultimatum, and last night he sent me a text saying he has personal problems and will not be working here anymore.
I have thought for weeks that the seats were gone. And now I am going to look for a suitable replacement to be on the safe side.
Anyone have a suggestion?

Those seats are going to be of no value to your ex-employee. You might try something that's not exactly legal but might work. Call him and tell him that he can pick up his final check when he brings your seats back. Let him know that you don't expect them to be reupholstered but you want them back. If that doesn't work remind him that receiving goods under false pretenses is criminal and he doesn't need more problems.

Hi Donnie, That sounds like a real bummer to me. Good help is hard to find! Oh wait, we really need a "jobs bill" cause there's so much unemployment! Good luck on getting your seats back. Hope he at least still has them! Gary Hammond,

Yeah I wanted to use the last check thing but unfortunately that could bite me in the ass. I would have let him go a month a go if I went that route.
It just sucks that other than a few loose ends to tie up the car is done. Seats would really help me ..hahaha

Don't know how legal it is but invoice him for the seats and use his last check to cover them. Then if he returns them he gets his money back.

I have a great solution for you since you are kinda close to me. Come and buy my gt for say $200, You get an entire car with the seats you need and lots of spare parts. Seriously, I am moving in the springtime and there is no way the wife is letting me move it with us.

Hey buddy where are you located? I believe it was the Cape or something right? I might be interested in your offer. Have a few photos of the current shape of the car? It just so happens that someone was admiring my car today and was interested in a body for a race car..haha I have a flatbed tow truck as well

Yeah I am located in Cape Canaveral. The car is in overall good shape, it needs redone, but with a few didecated weeks and some money it would be good to go. gelcoat has been sanded, chassis is in decent shape. I don't have any photos right now, but I can take some in the next day or so and post them for you.

So I got a call today and the seats and rails are gone. Told him I was tired of the BS and he came clean. Jackass tried to feed me some half A$$ excuse but I just told him I did not want to talk to him.
Oh well

The Bradley was complete when I got it, other than the engine being removed and the vinyl interior pieces missing. All of the parts for the car are inside of it. There is a complete engine in pieces, all original german vw tins also. the fiberglass buckets and sliders are in there as well as the original gas tank, bumpers, gauges, wiring harness, headlight assemblies and covers, engine cover, gullwings(both cracked, unfortunately). I even have the original foam for under the vinyl interior to use as templates for new if desired. The only thing I don't have in hand is the title, but I just need to make a phonecall to my friend who originally owned the car and have it mailed here. I can have that in a couple of days. I am available any day between noon and 3, all day wednesday through saturday if you wanna come get it

Well the car just arrived, and I must say if not for bad luck I would have none. No problems with the transaction at all. Car was just as described But I am sure you will all cringe when I tell you that the back window went flying off the car and into another, shattering it as a truck behind the hit car ran it over This was after I told the driver to make sure it was strapped down, taped down, and whatever else he needed to do to make sure it did not go anywhere. But I now have seats again, a whole mess of parts and another bradley Oh well hahaha

Donnie, Bad luck about the window, I hope nobody got hurt. I even watched the driver strap it down with a ratchet strap. I was gonna run some screws through it also, but figured with the ratchet strap it would be good. Gotta remember to always listen to that little voice. There is a long rear window for sale on ebay though, I saw the posting yesterday on the main board. I did notice that the floors were in rough shape when the driver got it up on the flatbed, I didn't realilze they were bad or I would have let you know about it. They didn't even have a rust spot on them when I brought the car to Florida 2 years ago. Bad thing about livivng so close to the beach I guess. My wife says thanks for getting it out of our driveway. I have the original metal Bradley id plate to the car also, but it is in one of my boxes in the garage, when I do come across it, I will get it sent to you.

Thanks for the deal Jim. Yeah it sucks about the window but at the same time It was above and beyond what I was looking to get off the car. The window on ebay is like 150-200 to ship it..lol. I have hope though. It just so happens when the driver came back we made a few calls and one of our race car guys makes lexan windows for racers. Apparently he is pretty good at it and they think he will have no problems making one.
The floors? What floors? HAHAHA
If you come across that ID plate feel free to let me know

For the rear window and that kind of shipping, you would be better off buying a new one from Sun Ray! I know where the ID plate is, I just gotta move some stuff to get to it. Read that as move everything in the garage and repack it for the move back to the great frozen tundra before I can locate it exactly. I also have a call in to my friend in Pennsylvania about the title, just waiting to hear back from him.

Sunray? Is he finally making windows and windoors again? It's been nearly 10 years since I last tried to buy a set of 'windoors' from Ray and was advised that I'd have to wait until he did his next run of them... which never seemed to happen....then I had to concentrate on life instead of the toys for a long time, but I'm back now...
