I'm presently facing electronic issues with my Chevy Astro, and it's all pointing toward the slippery slope of a huge problem particular to many GM vehicles regarding VATS and passkey security system breakdown. Most repair shops start throwing expensive parts at the problem and often to no avail. In researching the issue there seems to be one bright light that got a handle on the problem, so any of you GM owners plagued by the flashing security light of doom, as well as all the related hassles & breakdowns here's the cure: newrockies.com/

I knew there was a good reason I drive Ford products! My 97 T-Bird has 230,000 miles on it and is still going strong. ;D Gary Hammond, P.S. The T-Bird replaced my 89 4-cylinder Mustang which I drove to 343,000 miles. It was still going strong, but I wanted a V8 for my 90 mile commute to work!
