Hey all, been awhile, I just put a 1835 in my GT 2, dual port with a single 2 barrel weber progressive carb, hell of a tight fit but it only took about 45 min or so....
Now I need to figure out what wheel size to use to bring the wheels out, the stock ones fit too far back in the wheel wells for my tastes. They look funny tucked up under there. I am probably going to go with adapters 4 on 130 to chevy 5 on 3/4 for now to give me a better choice of wheel designs. I will eventually be adding disc brakes with chevy patterned rotors when I get over the cost of the new motor. I do have a set of 15x10 from one of my other projects I might go ahead and try. Soon as I get some pics up I'll post em
Also I am planning on running this car in SCCA road racing so suspension tips are being looked for..its built on a 1971 IRS pan all the suspension is new but still stock.

I went old school with a set of 15 inch turbo wheels. A little too wide though. Attachments:

Here is my 2007 (78X90.5) with a T-3 fan system. I have it all covered with a sheet of aluminum so it don't show the belt, but no picture. Attachments:

www.petepaulsen.com/Catalogofwheels/VW.htmGet the 15x8 with 2" backspace and a set of 225/50-15 tires... that puts you close to the stock circumference so the speedo will be fairly accurate. By my measurements, that should put the tires just flush with the edge of the GT2 body. I should have my body mounted soon, will post pics when I do.

Awsome, all could find when I looked was stock type wheels. I went driving earlier, what a kick in the pants, still need to dial the new motor in, but was still worth it. Now for that rats nest under the dash
