I have a rather touchy subject to deal with and wonder if anyone can help. The seats in this Bradley were evidently made by an anorexic designer and my poor girl is a rather big girl and actually sits on the seat and not in it.It is very uncomfortable for her to go very far.I enjoy taking her with me but I know it hurts her. What have some of you done to make these more rear end friendly?lol. If she sees this you will no longer see my posts because I will have been severely beaten.lol Thanks

If you have fiberglass experience then I'd say to widen the tub and pan and put a wider seat in. That would also solve a lot of problems with lowering the seat and seat selection.

I used some hard foam in my GT2, but I see you have a GT. I bought my hard foam from the local upholstery shop for mine.
I would make a cushion with two 1 in layers one layer hard the other medium. or both hard. Get some vinyl to match the seats and make the cushions to set inside the seat and remove for someone smaller.

i get a seat like out of a miata (i heard they fit nicely) and then they wouldn't have so much of a U shape, and that would add like 4 inches in whitght right there.

Your acting in the confines of a defined space. The only way you can get wider is to go higher (without extensive mods).
So the question begs...how tall are each of you?

She is around 5 foot 4 inches so height is not a problem.I kind of like the idea of filling in the low area and maybe having a custom insert made I could remove for taller people but I don't want it to look too chincy. Its hard to find talented specialty shops in these little dying midwest towns. Most of the industry has died or gone to foreighn countries. I don't know how to fiberglass yet but I must learn because the fear of trying it has held up my other two kit cars for over ten years.A 1941 willys coupe and a GT 40 Ford type car I think was called an Avenger. Thanks for the ideas and more if you got them.I will also look at other seats like the Miata. Just be careful if your girl asks you "does this Bradley make my butt look big?" be careful how you answer.lol

I built this trike back in 1999. I designed and constructed the seat to hold my 6 FT 300 lb body. I used poster board cut it to shape stapled, glued, and taped to hold its shape, Then layed in layers of fiberglass cloth resioned one at a time, totaling 4 layers. Then layed in carbon fiber a total of 4 layers. If you can dream it, You can build it. Wyn

It was not a kit, I built the trike from scrach. The rear wheel was from my sons bike and looked like a pretzel I had to straghten it. The front wheels have drum brakes I needed to make new heavier axels. The frame is 2 1 1/8" thin wall chromo tubes.
Like I said, If you can dream it, you can build it.
later I'll take some pics of parts of the trike and post them.
