I salvaged the original rear view fender mirrors from my parts GT2 and am going to mount them on my GT. Does anybody have any suggestions as to the best place to locate them on the fenders? (i.e. original location, closer to the windshield pillar etc.) I purchased a 3" convex stick on mirror for the passenger side. It fits perfectly and should help.

i have a GTI, and i personally dont like where the originals were mounted on the fenders. too far away. i mounted new lightweight mirrors on the windshield pillar, easier to get to to adjust...... big bob here's what the original looks like

I mounted these here: Not the best spot. I would suggest getting someone to hold them in various positions and determine what the best combination of looks and function is for you.

Mine came with aftermarket mirrors with LED turn signals built into them. I like the basic design, being out further from the body makes it so I can see with them very well. Well, at least now I can, I had to move them forward nine inches from where they are shown here because windshield post was smack dab in the middle of the one on the passinger side. Either the orignial builder just put them where he thought they looked good or when I moved the seat forward it changed the view lines. I like them, EXCEPT they are out of adjusting reach from inside the car. If I could find similar electric adjustable ones for a reasonable price I would replace them in a minute. Regards, Steven

Thanks to everyone for the input. I kind of like the mirrors on Big Bobs GT. Where did you get them? I have stop driving my GT until I get mirrors mounted. Didn't realize how much a person relies on side mirrors.

these mirrors are super cheap, like $6/piece or something. they are plastic, they are not metal. but i figured, i'll try em and if they break, i'll try something else. got them at dans performance. good site. www.dansperformanceparts.com/

I took big Bobs idea and bought the mirrors like he has on the picture mounted on his GT. This brought up an interesting situation. When I went to mount them on my red GT the windshield pillar was too narrow. However, when I tried them on my silver GT the pillar was 1/2 inch wider and they fit perfect. Not to be discouraged, out came the Dremel and with some "modifications" to the mounting brackets they are currently mounted on the red GT. Not perfect but they will work. It just goes to show there is never any end to the surprises that the Bradley holds. That is what makes them challenging (and fun)!!!
