Hey guys, glad to have found this forum. I will be needing alot of help I think because I got a '79 gt2 that is a rat hole. But I thought it would be a fun project so here it is: There are no holes in the body where it would attach to the chassis, or in the doors where the hinges would go, so I think this body has never been installed. Needs alot. I have already set it on my 1969 VW chassis and the first thing I noticed is that the Bradley body is alot wider than the VW body. I guess I need extenders for the wheels....

Nope, no glass, I will be needing that too, along with the hinges, locks, weatherstripping, seats, steering column, etc

Windshields are NOT available, I will suggest you to get in contact with SKIP20, he has a solution in retrofitting another type of glass to the body of the GT II

I tried to email skip20, no response. Anyone have any ideas for glass? I heard a 240sx windshield might work.

keep trying Skip he had a windshield he was trying to sell on ebay a while back but no one bought it so he may still have it. He does contribute to this board and on the previous board he had an incredible saga going of radical mods to a twoie! keep trying I'm sure he'll eventually respond!

Ok, got a steering column today. Now I just need the cd so I know how it mounts....I still dont know how to extend my wheels out far enough. Do I need an extender? Or a different axle?

unfortunately the previous defunk sight had a lot of info on wheels here's what I copied from someone who's been around the block on that one: Wheel and Tire Sizes - Current GTII Front: Rim: 8" with 3" offset Tires: P225/60R15 95S M+S Rear: Rim 10" with 3.5" offset Tires: P275/60R15 107 M+S There are a ton of wheel adapters out there. A lot depends on which chassis, floor pan you have, swing axle or IRS I'm not sure whether they are equal widths but a popular trend is to go wiyh after market brakes and get discs, or drums that have Chevy lug configs. I came accross these two outfits, that will help to make yourself crazy! www.roadsters.com/wheels/www.motorsport-tech.com/wheel_adapters.htmlGood luck let's hear what you come up with!

I've been takeing a break from my GTII till this winter, been trying to play catch up on my other project. Got Little Spitty paint & need to put her back together. Painting my Ford Ranger 2 tone with a different bed & doors with power windows (not Microsoft) & locks. Then will have to put it back together. Then I may prime the Rakoons 3 wheeler body. After which I will be working on my friend GT body repair. Here is the link to my pictures: community.webshots.com/user/skip20And here is a picture of the 280Z windshield frame I've been working on, may offer it as a kit replacement. Skip20

Looks like there is fiberglass work on the top and bottom of the windhield, but looks nice. I may have to go that route as GT2 windshields are too expensive

If you found one, how much is expensive?

Well, to be honest, any price would be too expensive unless it was local. Shipping on a windshield would make it alot more expensive than I can get a windshield locally. I can get any windshield for 100.00 from the local junk yard. I am poor and can't afford much so this project will take alot of time and no money. My wife was laid off from work a year and a half ago and can't find work so it is just me working and I don't make alot of money. If you look at the pic of my car, you can see how much work it needs so I will be improvising alot rather than paying a premium for Bradley parts.
