Hi everyone I just bought a 1970 Bradley GT for 1000. Its gonna be my senior project to restore it. I am 18 and also own a 2000 Camaro Z28 and know a thing or two in the automotive world. This is my first time trying to restore a car and the first time actually seeing a bradley gt. Ive heard of them but now i actually have one wow! So far the restoration has been going okay. I believe the engine in a 1967 vw 1500cc. Although the distributor is throwing me off. Its from 1960-64 at least thats how to part numbers match up. The engine code starts off with an H so thats why I think its a 67 engine. Either way though I eventually got it running. Took the carb off and soaked it and cleaned all the jets out. New points, condenser, and rotor all coming sunday. Other than that I dont think I'm having any problems with it engine wise. The real question is the exterior. The guy I bought it from put plexiglass over the headlights to make it look like it goes with the body. I'm not a fan of that. I wanted to find some pop-up headlights or make my own with an actuator or some kind of motor. What do you guys suggest? Also I was wondering about making a top for it. It looks like ttops should go on it. Should I just make some with some thick plexiglass and latch it on someway? I think thats all I got for right now. Just thought I say hi to everyone being new and all. and that im a proud owner of a bradley gt!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Bradley's. Post a picture or two of what it looks like now, as a lot of us like to follow the restoration of these cars. I don't know how much you know about the Bradley GT, but the kit originally came with plexiglass gull wing doors. They were not very strong and many have broken over the years forcing all the following owners to either do with out the doors, or be creative and create something on your own. Doors do still exist. You just have to find the person that wants to part with them. Again, Good luck and keep us posted.
