I am looking for a hot sound out of my VW 1600 motor I now have Monza exhaust with the 4 pipes. What exhaust has the best sound. I don't want all the headers coming out of the body as I think that takes away from the GTII's looks. I do want s sports car sound.

On my Beetle I did a 4 into one header, redirected the header forward to the left frame horn, pulled a 90 deg into a flex pipe then shot it forward to the A pillar. It then turns a 180 and enters a resonator inside the running board. Similar to what in in the above thread but a single outlet instead of duals. All 1 3/4 pipe, nice rumble does not sound anything like a vw.
