Hopefully, I'll be able to screw with it in the next week. I still have no visual idea what I'm doing at this point, I thought for a common problem there would be a flood of great examples from people. I'm in better shape than before I started this thread, I guess..?

A woman was hauling ass to work one morning when she was pulled over by a police officer. He asked her "Do you know why I pulled you over?"
The woman looked at him and said "Of course. I was speeding, but I can't be late for work, I'm the anus strecher".
This shocked the officer, and he had to ask "What do you do??!"
After a small pause, she said "I start by massaging the anus with one finger sliding it in and out, around the rim, until I can fit 2 fingers in and I keep massaging and massaging,3 fingers, then 4 until my whole hand is inside"
The officer was in complete disgust as she continued...
Once I have my whole hand in, I keep massaging until I have both hands in, and I start streching, massaging and streching some more until until it's 6 feet wide".
The officer had never heard anything like this in his life and had to ask...
"So what do you do with a 6 foot not a very nice person???!"
She said "You give him a radar gun and put him on the side of a bridge".

I'm just trying to get back to the future... Where we're going, we don't need roads... That's heavy.

You can get old fiberglassics between "free, no title, you haul" to title, trailer and outboard for $600. I bought a Mazda 626 for $300 and traded it for my '57 Wizard with a runnng outboard. I would post pics, but this site says my pics are too bi or too small. It's probably because I'm on PS3, not PC.

Checkered interior, groovy baby! I think something like your rear window seal would work for mine too. Looks good. I actually have a Pep Boys here. I didn't know, I'll have to check them out.

It was just confirmed on the news, at 7am this morning, there was a tornado in Peirce Co. Washington, which flipped over train cars, ripped the roof off a building and lifted a car to put a board of nails under the tires. It's very rare. Nature has a sense of humor after all. Maybe I'm in a world of my own, but I would choose global warming over global cooling any day. I'm a tropical people. I don't care for the cold

What about dropping a older Porsche 911 motor in it. How compatible is that? I wouldn't do it with my current, but there's always next time.

Not necessarily. Most people don't realize there are maps that show 5,000 years ago, Antartica had no snow. That's not that long ago. I ran accross a pics of pyramids. Maybe a hoax, but is it really so hard to believe? Plates are always moving, Pakastan just got a island, the earth even changes axis. The world is constantly changing. So what makes us think we have anything to do with nature?

As soon as it dries out I'll pull my wheels, jack it up and see what I have. Right now my driveway looks like a scene right out of swamp people. 2 day storm with rain, wind, lightning... and interesting lights in the sky that hovered... Creepy!

It's a record for September. We've had bad storms before, but it's more about the wind and weak trees that take out power, not so much the rain. We didn't flood this time. Our basement turns into a swimming pool.

Most bugs you can drop a motor in under 10 minutes, I've found 1600's for $100. complete Polished vw's for $500. Really, it depends on what you want to do and where you get parts or if you do your own work. But I'm telling you once again, you should be at $1,000 or less on this. I have one, and there are all kinds of things that can cost you. I had to do 3 oil changes in one month, 1 of many examples.. You're going to need as much cash as you can get. I sold my car, my quad. my outboard, my scooter and my crossbow to get it where it is today, and it's still not ready to drive. Maybe you won't have so many issues with yours. I don't have any regrets but I would at $2,000. $1000 would get you a nice motor.

Lucky us! Power was out between 3pm last night to 10am this morning, tons of rain, lots of wind and power keeps blinking off and we're about to get hit again. What fun!

The only part I really need is the chrome ring. The one I have is crushed. I can get the glass cut. New they run $300 for a set but I already have a set. If the price was right, I probably would anyway, take the rest apart and sell it on ebay maybe. Ebay doesn't have parts for these when I look.

I watched both Beetle crisis seasons 1&2, which focused on show quality VW's and what they go through to make them as perfect as possible, I wondered if they look at Bradley as an abomination. How do they react seeing these mutilated bugs?

Horen, your Twoie has been a major inspiration to me well before I bought mine. I want your bumpres! I actually ran into before and after pictures of it. I even found a picture of it on Craigslist from someone who was looking for one. I've been without power from 3pm yesterday to 12:30pm today, so I've decided to let this storm pass before I start on this again. So you wouldn't do any of this with th glass still in it either. That is my biggest concern unless I can have yours You're saying thicker as in 1" or 4"? What is it bolted to? To get stable results with wood I can't see doing it with less than Doug fir 2x4's. Maybe a 2x3, a 1x3 would probably just snap I would think. It doesn't take much.. I'm a lumber guy.

That is a sweet ride! It looks brand new. Metallic paints kind of went out, but I still think they look great. One day, I'm going to have a car painted in chrome. Were talking paint on, spray off until it's like looking into a mirror. It's a huge process, but worth it. You do awesome work, Jsp. It's not a car, it's a mobile peice of art.

Previous owner ran over the one my gt2 came with, looking for the chrome bezel, mirror and the guts or the whole thing. Passenger side if it makes a difference. Shoot me a number. Just looking for one at the moment.

KEEP THE THREAD ALIVE
"Welcome to my parlor" said the spider to the fly,,,
I'm in Kitsap across from Seattle.
It's suppose to pour rain here for the next 4 days straight with possible floods. So if my car doesn't float because it needed a brace... No pressure =)
