You need to put [ url]
before the hyperlink and [ /url] after it to make links active. (note I put in the extra leading space in each bracket so it would print and not try to make a link).
Of if you use the "reply" button instead of the "Quick Reply" box at the bottom, it gives you a bunch of menu icons, one of which is posting a hyperlink (looks like a globe, I think). You just have to put your www address between the symbols it produces. Hope this helps

trimagnum, Nice looking car, ur, cycle. I seriously thought about building one of those, but the bike I was going to use for the base ended up being too costly to get running properly. Yours looks like it turned out well. Has it met your expectations? Warmest Regards.....

In my case it was a hand me down from my brother. He blew out the regulator because he used it on his buggy with lots of high powered lights. You can get rebuilt/new stock (55 amp) ones for $100 - $150 from various vw supply sources (JC Whitney, cip1, Moore, jbugs, etc.), but if you want chrome or higher output ones (90 amp) $150-$250 range is common. Yes, I did and it held 20 psi air pressure until I released it, so I am thinking it should be leak proof.

Since I used the fittings, I no longer need to do any welding. My brother's father-in-law (now passed away) used to weld gas tanks by running car exhaust through the tank while he was doing the welding, the non-explosive exhaust gasses would displace the gas fumes.

I am modifying original post with strikethoughs as I complete the tasks. Just about finished the bodywork. Ordered paint, got replacement alternator with new regulator. Making progress, but still a long ways to go.

I might should change the name to Pheonix because it is back from the dead, but I repaired my .20 Super Sportster which crashed 15 years back or so. Still sorting it out, but it flies well. I decided to make a opaque fiberglass canopy rather than vacuform a clear one. Saved me from having to put in a pilot, dash, etc. Warmest Regards....

Pulled gas tank, plugged old fill tube and installed new one on top by using regular pipe fittings (finding someone who can weld aluminum and is willing to weld a tank that has already had gas in it is not easy). Have pics in my phone, but have not got them to my computer yet. Got the pics off my phone: Warmest....

We would only want automatic deletions to happen in the "Classifieds" section, the other sections should be kept for future reference. I would rather keep the classified kludge than loose the material in the other sections.

Thanks Kyle, your efforts are appreciated and hopefully this will allow some of the burden to be shared. Perhaps we could create a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) thread and just send an automated response directing people to it that send "dumb" questions.

Well, making some progress. Got front turn-signals into headlight wells. Put new trim around healight covers. Took off mirrors & started preping all the holes for fiberglass repair. Got the engine pulled out, ready to chase down oil leak, generally detail, put on new alternator. Will be pulling gas tank shortly.

Leonard, It seems like those would work, the lexan, though I am not fully understanding the mechanics of their function from the pics, I think they would be worth trying. How much do you want for two of them?

Well, I actually ran the gas out of my tank so I could work on my Bradley. Really tempted to refill it, so I could keep driving it, but I really need to get going on the repairs & upgrades. Put it up on blocks this last week, hopefully, I'll start chipping away at my list now.

Wow! I do not know what is really going on here, but this is not at all what this board is typically like. If this is an example of where this board is heading, I will not likely hang around. It is too bad, because except for this on one short time when a member was going through an extremely difficult personal time, this board has been a shining example of positive encouragement. I hope this passes quickly and we can use some restraint that usually comes with maturity.
Disapointed....

So far no one has successfully molded and cut the doors out of plexi except Sun Ray. The radius' at the front and back are different making it a bit more difficult to form. Really have to make a over and under form of something that can stand up to the heated plexi to be successful. The other problem with the plexi doors in general is even the ones bought from Sun Ray have to be custom cut down to fit (not a quick process on the brittle plexi) and they are easily broken, requiring replacing often.

This is a bit of an ongoing debate on the boards. It is definitely best to provide seperation between the fresh air (upper) portion and the radiant heat (lower) portion. One person on this board actually ran test and found that there was a consistent 10 degree F gain in the upper portion of the tins without the seperation. Nonetheless, so many manx's, baja bugs, etc. do not have the seperation and seem to run fine. I currently do not have separation in my GT and have not had heating problems in here in San Joaquin Valley where summer temps are often above 100 degrees F in the summer. That being said, one of the improvements I plan to do on mine (maybe even this summer) is to fabricate a barrier.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Warmest Regards....

Gary, You had a pretty good run, in terms of time, without problems. Life being what it is, problems always show up at inconvenient times. I have had clutch cable go once and the foot pedal clutch lever claw break once, both at inopportune times. However, since I have had ACVW vehicles for more than 27 years, three engine rebuilds and a couple of clutch problems are not bad. I relate to hot weather, 104 here today. Glad to hear you got it back functioning quickly despite the heat. Hope the shop A/C goes in relatively hassle free. Warmest Regards....

My GPS has a built in speedometer in which I can set the font to fairly large. I have used it to calibrate/check the speedo's in all my vehicles. Always thought is might be a simple replacement if my speedo went out. At least to temporarily keep me from going too fast, if nothing else. However, there are a few places which have no signal still. Warmest...

Leonard, do you still have them? I am using thinner Lexan windows, so they may work. Could you send a pic or copy of installation instructions or something, along with a price? My email address is available by the icon at the left, or you could message it through this board. Thanks!

On #4 - I will have to design the vent so that rain doesn't come in with the air. I just know that when I am shut in, it gets pretty stuffy and I saw some supercar that had an intake cowl where I was thinking it would work on the Bradley. Will definitely include a way to control air flow. On #15 - I have Tenzo seats, which fit, recline, offer side support and are very comfortable for long distances, BUT, they have thin fabric glued directly to the foam for a covering, which has not held up well to sliding up and down the seat that entering & exiting the Bradley requires. However, they are a complicated shape, so I am not sure how economically I can get them covered. On #20 - I have access to equipment & people to help me, just need to get around to designing & fabricating it.
Thanks for the interest in my project.
Warmest Regards....
