Well it hit eBay again with another no reserve auction and the winning bid was $5299. So a $2500 loss compared to the Barrett Jackson Auction .

Welcome to the forum. Where are you located?
All of the above you mentioned are common problems and missing parts. Finally after several months my GT2 should be picked up in NH and delivered to me started at the end of next week.
I am just going to make a template of the top glass and cut some new ones. For the sides I am looking at a few options. The butt sag is common and an easy fix. Just search the forum.
With these cars you have to get creative. You are not going to find much for "off the shelf" parts .
Good luck!

Might as well scrap that one. There is NOTHING usable on it.

You should bring that to Barrett Jackson. It will will not get a great deal of money but maybe more than craigslist. There is not going to be anyone on here that will pay $20500 for your car.

There was no exterior badges for the GT that I recall. The GT2 had a metal badge in the front and in the rear. I can make the side graphics for $45 per set plus shipping. You can find examples in the forums.

Update: Seller ended the auction with the reason being " This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing" Still had half a day left. Seems to me it was just code word for "Holy nuts we are going to lose our ass on this one" It was only at $2500 or so at the time they closed it.
This was the description ...
This unrestored car has all of its original parts. The gullwing doors and back window are removable. A true survivor, it was stored away many years ago. Features include air conditioning, hidden headlamps and 8-track radio. Built on a 1969 Volkswagen chassis, it is powered by a 1,600cc motor with 4-speed manual transmission. This car has been driven less than 6,000 miles since its completion in 1976. It runs outstandingly well, has been serviced and is ready to go. There are only a handful of Bradley GTs left in this original condition. The build is documented and comes with the original invoice and Build Sheets. Also comes with huge binder with original 70s brochures and all purchasing and sales information. The original owner kept records and receipts for everything with postmarks from the 70s all included.

Funny stuff. I am going to go out on a limb and say the Auction was bogus. It says the winning bid was $7700 but the car is already on eBay with a no reserve auction . www.ebay.com/itm/332106767747?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITMakes me think the seller or associate bid on the car because it was not getting what they wanted and now they think it will do better on ebay. It is currently at $2425 . I do not think it gets to $5000 (without help from a few Shill bidders) What do you think

On January 14, 2017 this one sold at Barrett Jackson Phoenix for $7700 www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1976-BRADLEY-GT--199286 . If you recall back in Las Vegas 2014 this one sold for $9350 www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1971-BRADLEY-GT-GULLWING-COUPE-177087 . Up to this point this car is the go to car that the uneducated site when they are trying to sell a Bradley GT for a ridiculous amount of money. It usually go like..."Well Barrett Jackson just sold one for $10,000) not bothering to look that it was several years ago. And we even have one for sale on here (as well as the samba) at a whopping $12,000 (discounted from $14,000) Notice they are all the same color ? I wonder what it is about that color? What are you thoughts on all of this. Every "Real World" sale puts a GT in equally nice shape in the $5000-$6000 range. They rarely go higher than that. My personally opinion is Barrett Jackson is full of buyers with more money than brains but what do I know?

Getting people to pay for your handy work will be the issue. They do not want to spend $500 to get a new windshield when they come up . They are certainly not going to pay for a new vette windshield and an entire top assembly. lol I thought about starting a new thread, but figured "what the heck", this is still here. To get to the matter at hand. What is the difference between the gt and the gt2 windshield? Is the gt still available and the gt2 is not? I am very adept at 'glass work, as I build molds and parts. Being trained by one of the original makers of 'glass parts for drag racing, Cal Auto, back in the late '50's. I said all that to say this, nothing scares me when making glass stuff. Now to my original thought. If gt windshields are still available, how about modifying the window opening to accept the gt windshield? Or, how about making a mold of the complete roof of a gt2, less the windshield area, and adapt it to the gt roof? viola! Instant gt2. Obviously, there are a bunch of other things that would have to be done, but this is something that is not out of my wheel house. I am asking all you fine gentlemen these question because I don't have a Bradley yet and I like the gt2 best, so I am just looking ahead. OK, now tell me how crazy I am to spend this much time and money on a car you can buy for nickels and dimes, you wont hurt my feelings. My wife tells me this all the time. thanks, gary

I would give you $150 for the doors (with all glass and hardware) rear window, and manual. I am about 4 or so hours away from you and can pick it all up after the holidays. Might want more once I get there .

And just to be fair and balanced the car was posted on craiglist 15 days ago at a HUGE reduction to the $35,000 original price . atlanta.craigslist.org/eat/cto/5869273655.htmlHere is the post for preservation... Just goes to show that this seller is full of it. First is this is 1 of 5 original Bradleys built at the factory, what are the other 6000 or so GTs that where also "built" at the factory. And judging by the photos its not original. The dash has the gold metal flake paint still while the rest of the car is a new blue. It is titled as a Bradley GT just as MANY of them them are. The engine is not original to the car, and as everyone knows these cars do NOT sit on a Super Beetle Chassis. Again for those in the future that are going to buy a Bradley based off BS such as this, don't bother. This is just another run of the mill Bradley GT . Nothing special, nothing rare, etc.

I would be curious to see what the data plate says and what the car is registered as .

Sure there is a way to verify if its a demo model. An original invoice from Bradley Automotive saying it was one of their demo models. Hell what about an invoice that just said it was factory built lol . Here is the deal. For some reason people see a data plate on one of these and assume it was either factory built, or a demo car . The reality of it is just about every bradley kit that shipped out of the factory had a data plate. From time to time you get these stories that seem to trickle down from owner to owner. The next thing to realize is Bradley was not in the car building business, they were in the kit selling business. While the obviously had demo cars, and did a few turnkey builds (like the Liberace car) that was not their business. So as I said without documentation saying it was purchased from the Bradley Factory and was a Demo Car it is just another bradley . Hell even with documentation its just another bradley hahaha I posted this one earlier. Good laugh for sure. I will say if some sucker comes on here saying they bought it and it is anywhere close to that asking price I will be retiring from the racing business and buying up all the old GTs I can hahahahah Sorry for the necropost Hope you're ready to retire, but this showed up at the shop last week. Is there anyway to verify whether or not it's an actual demo model? If they sold the kits from 71-81 why would they build #3 out of 5 in 74?

They are all over craigslist . Just have to expand your search. Good luck with such a build. Many people have said they are going to attempt it, and none that I know of have pulled it off.

Its been for sale for a while now. If I recall the windshield is cracked. Because of this the $1000 price is not reasonable. $100 is could be a deal for someone

Viracon was in the aftermarket windshield business. They had replacement glass for corvettes, Porsche and the list goes on. They sold that part of the business. Sunray has never offered windshields for the GT2
