it is a major pain in the butt any way you try to paint it. i recommend when spraying to do roof (if its on) inside.(spray the far side) hood/trunk, tail fin, and then get the sides and the under lip. the hard spot to get is the scoop in the hood, its hard to reach over and get square on it.

i have a holly dual barrel and a PIS intake on my single port MG kit and it is a good carburetor, lots of power, good sound, its not quite as efficient and tight as i think it should be, but i need to do a rebuild on it i feel, but is definitely a better running engine with that carb than with the stock solex that was designed to keep people who were uset to driving chevys breaking the car. rather than letting the engine breath like it really needs to.

they have a similar pin setup in like some of dodge chargers hoods, any sort of muscle car aftermarket sort of place should be able to sell you the pins.

It took me a little time to search for it. This was the water mark from the first Bradley web site. It was a full web page sized and really faint. I think it would look nice above a shirt pocket or larger on the back of a T shirt. Maybe bring some life to it with some colors and clean the detail. Wyn that is a really awesome design. if anyone had a higher res image i could maybe do some layout/enhancement that is kinda my job. i would like to get a plaque for my car. maybe a club decal or something.

i am sorry i havent been on the forum for almost 6 months now, i have had a lot going on. but i wanted to share some photos of the fastback roofline that i made for my car, i also made the real shelf alot more useful. i apologize for my ugly looking bondo, i am using a mix of fiberglass bondo and a polyester filling putty to smooth it out. hear is the way id improved the real shelf, it will have plywood doors that will mount on the front. i also eliminated the need for a curved rear window by making the roof extended into a fastback look, i think it makes the car look really sexy. i am done with the leveling out and shaping, and am getting paint on the car by this weekend, more photos to come soon.

The 1300 is a great engine, I bought one as soon as they came out for my split back in '65. I used to cruise at 65-70 all day long in that tin can That 1300 will push your GT just fine!! In a time when everyone is faced with bigger and better, thow it out and buy a new one, I like your thinking -- budget conscious!!! Best of luck with it!! 85 mph on small tires, no i like my 1300 very much. there is something about telling your mates that you have 40hp.

yeah but that costs money i haven't spent more than 200 on this 1300 and most of that was making it 12V. it was just rebuilt too.

i believe the top was hooked to the air filter with a T to the oil filler, but im not 100% shur, i took it apart last year, i didn't see anything else like a tank. but its a interesting idea.

so i am putting my '65 1300 back together, and i keep coming across things that i don't know why they are there, no one whose engine i have seen has em, and i am wondering if i can remove and make simpler. the previous owners had some strange ideas about how to put a engine together, some of the fuel line was vacuum line, the fuel filter was on the wrong side of the fuel pump, and the way the oil was set up....but im off topic. i have a spacer between the carb and the intake that runs to a strange valve on the pre warmers on the intake (see photos) and i don't know why, please help me understand.
