I have an internally regulated alternator installed in the 1600CC motor of my Bradley. Wondering where to connect teh "excitor" wire off the top of the alternator. It is basically only hot when key is turned to START? I don't see a connection for it in the harness in the engine bay.

Exciting the alt is accomplished by running key on power to your dash mounted idiot light then from the light to the spade terminal on the alternator. When voltage output drops it will turn the light on.

kitcarguy: dx1 There is no way to tell what year the body is. The Dataplate (if there is one) will not give you any useful info.

kitcarguy: Hey manwithplan mine were both in the battery area in the rear of the car (behind right tail light) If yours does not have one not to worry, they do not mean anything lol
